The Central Oregon Writers Guild is holding its 7th Annual Writing Contest, open to all Oregon Writers.

The contest offers cash prizes for the top three judged entries and recognition for the top entries in each of six entry categories: General Fiction, Fantasy/SciFi Fiction, Nonfiction, Memoir, Poetry, and Mystery/Detective Fiction. Each entry must be 1,200 words or less.

The winning entries will be published in a chapbook available in print and ebook. The awards ceremony, with readings by the winners, will be October 18, 2014 in Bend, Oregon.
