MacDeath: New from Cindy Brown

Friend of Mystery member Cindy Brown’s debut novel Macdeath, a madcap mystery set in the off, off, off Broadway world of theater will be released on January 20th! It’s the first in a new series of mysteries featuring Ivy Meadow, actress and PI-in-training, published by Henery Press, a small award-winning publisher that specializes in mysteries.

Friends of Mystery is happy to publish news and press releases from our members in our Member News section, with the following considerations:

  • The news must be related to mystery or true crime writing, films, and television, as well as non-fiction examinations of the mystery genre.
  • Friends of Mystery will not be able to edit announcements, and will publish them as provided.
  • Friends of Mystery will include one image with each announcement, if provided.
  • Friends of Mystery is not responsible for the content of news announcements, and we reserve the right to not publish any announcements which we feel will reflect poorly on the organization and do not advance the organization’s mission.

Bloody Thursdays

Our 2018-2019 Season is heating up. In September we open with Spotted Owl Winner Ingrid Thoft, then in November we’re joined by Lou Berney. In January,  we have a panel featuring Chuck Caruso, Curtis Chen, and Jennifer Wolfe. Nancy Rommelmann joins us in March to discuss her book To the Bridge: A True Story of Motherhood and Murder. We close out our exciting year in May with a panel of mystery graphic novelists.
